...... a place where everyone can cook!

Welcome to the Cosy Kitchen

I have always believed that we "live to eat". As much as i enjoy eating, I enjoy every single minute i spend in my cosy kitchen, creating all the different recipes! My interest in cooking and baking started when i first arrived in Australia, when i was forced to leave my lovely country full of delicious delicacy. It was the "home sickness" for family and food that made me started this interest. Since then, i've tried out different recipes, mix and matching all the ingredients with the limited resources i have, but has since lost most of the recipe as i did not keep a journal of them. Therefore, this food blog will record all the recipes i make to date, and shared to everyone who has the same interest! blockquote>

Spinach Beef

Banana Pancakes

Beed Lagsana

Salt and Pepper Squid

Banana Fritters (Pisang Goreng)

Ingredients:
1 cup self-raising flour
1 cup water
1 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp ground cinamon
oil for deep frying
4 bananas
Maple Syrup and ice-cream/ cream to serve

Method
1. Mix flour and punch of salt into a bowl. Make a well in the centre and gradually add 1 cup of water while gently wisking, drawing the glour from sides. Whisk until combined. The batter shoululd appear slightly lumpy. Overbeating the batter will make it tough. Stand for 30 minutes
2. Combine sugar and cinnamon, set aside.
3.Fill a deep pan 1/3 full of oil (enough for deep frying). Heat oil till a cube of bread dropped into oil turns brown in 15seconds.
4. Cut bananas in half crossways, dip into prepared batter, drain off excess and quickly deep fry in oil till banana turn crisp and golden (not burnt!).
5. Remove and drain Banana from oil. Use paper towel to soak up excess oil. Repeat with remaining bananas

Serves: 4

Difficulty: easy
